SPECIFICATIONS OF THE ILLUSTRATED STYLES

5.00 The following specifications list each of the displayed units first with the name of the Series and the location.

CONTOURED STARSHIP SERIES – ACCRETIVE PASSADENA, CA.

The frames of these units consists of fully engineered, heli-arc welded, radiused and trussed -1” Hot Rolled Steel Tubes typically ASTM A513 Grade “A” with 16 Gauge Walls. All with interior critical; points for cover attachments. The Aluminum Cladding is ASTM 5052-T5 -1/8” and 3/32nd” thick brake shaped on three sides to exact fit with built in expansion joints and flat “T” Bar overlay at the seams all with a Powder Coat finish to suit. STARSHIP SERIES- SIDE RETURNS – CITY OF RIPON, CA

The “J” Shaped Aluminum Fascia consists ASTM 6063-T5 1/8” thick with extruded “Slip Seam” Horizontal Aluminum ASTM 6063-T5 Decking All Powder Coated. There is no overhead support system the anchoring is provided entirely at the rear of the unit. See the comprehensive variety of wall anchoring principles available in Section 5.00.

PLAIN IRONSIDE – VALENCIA GARDENS, CA.

The outer frames are fabricated from Heli-Arc Welded ASTM 6” Galvanized Steel “C” Channel The overhead support system being with ¾” Diameter Stainless Steel Rods and Clevises onto 6” Square x ½” thick Steel Wall. The Horizontal Louvers are 2” x 2” Square first quality IPE Hardwood with an oil finish, the entry treatment consists of a 26 Gauge Galvanized Metal corrugated roof system to shed water at that point attached to the overhead canopy. AIRFLOW AIRFOIL SERIES – UCR ALUMNI CENTER, CA.

The outer frames and outriggers are all mechanically fabricated from ASTM and ASTM 6063-T5- ¼” thick extruded Aluminum Airfoil Blades with no overhead support system necessary. Attachments to the wall is provided by being bolt anchored to the projecting tabs installed by the main frame fabricator. AIRFLOW AIRFOIL SERIES – ALLAN HANCOCK COLLEGE, CA

The all Aluminum outer frames are fabricated from 6063-T5 C12. The louver blades consist of simple flat 1/8” thick ASTM 6065 T5 Vertical plate fins. The flat blades are also available with lipped edges to stiffen against flexing on longer reaches between outriggers. All powder coats finished. ANGLED  AIRFLOW SERIES – TWEEDY SOUTH GATE, CA.

The all Aluminum ASTM 6065- T3 Tubular Frames is Heli-Arc welded with ASTM 6063-T3- ½” thick 6” x 6” Mounting Wall Plates  and  Brackets Powder Coated with ¾” Diameter Stainless Steel Rods and Clevises and Brackets. NAVIGATOR AIRFOIL SERIES

Alternate styles of this unit has  3/16” Plates 1050-H14 or 5052-H32  and 6”, 8” or 10” Aluminum Extruded Airfoil Blades 3/32” Thick 6063-T5 or 6061-T6 –The finishes available are Powder Coat, Kynar, Clear Anodized. ICE BREAKER AIRFOIL SERIES

This project used ½” Square and 2” Square x 1/8” wall Aluminum Tubes 6063-T5 ad ¾” Thick Aluminum Plates 1050-H14 or 5052-H32, and Grating from Aluminum 1050-H14 or 50-52-H32  optional finishes, Powder Coat, Kynar, Clear Anodized. CRUISER SERIES – (UC SAN BERNADINO, CA)

LATTICE SERIES

This project features 2” x 3” x 1/8” Thick Aluminum Tube 6063-T5 with tapered “I” Beams and C5 Aluminum 6061-T6 or 6063-T5, all with a Stainless Steel Rod and Clevis overhang support system. CONTOURED NAVIGATOR SERIES – (MESA COLLEGE, CA.)

CAIRO PYRAMID  SERIES – (COALINGA STATE HOSPITAL, CA.)

MEDITERRANEAN SERIES – (COALINGA STATE HOSPITAL, CA.)

MARINE SERIES – (UC  IRVINE-CA)

MARITINE WAVE SERIES – (MAR VISTA BRANCH  LIBRARY)

SHARK FIN  SERIES – (CAHUENGA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL)

STARSHIP SERIES – (EDWARDS 10 CINEMAS)

STARGAZER SERIES

CARVEL SERIES – (HFL VAN NUYS APARTMENTS)

SWORDFISH SERIES – (PACIFIC ATHLETIC CLUB)

This project used 2” x 4” x 1/8” and 4” x 6” square 1/8” aluminum tube 6063-T5  also with 1/16” thick aluminum  sheet 1050-H14 or 5052-H32, and C5 aluminum channel 6061-T6 or 6063-T5 3/16” thick, also with stainless steel overhang support system. NORTHERN LIGHTS SERIES

This project used 4” x 12” and 8” square steel tubes in ASTM-A-500B and ¼” thick aluminum plates 1050-H14 or 5052-H32, also with 6” and 9” aluminum airfoil blades 6063-T5. MERIDIAN SERIES

SERPINTINE SERIES – ( MANHATTAN BEACH POLICE STATION)

This project used 4” X 4” X 1/4”, – 4” X 10” X 1/4”,  4” X 8” X 1/8” and 4” X 24” X 1/4” Aluminum Tubes 6035-T5. Also1½” X 4” X 3/16” Aluminum C Channels 6063-T5, with Stainless Steel Overhang System. Clear Anodized. Optional finishes, Paint, Kynar. GLOBAL AND MATCHING DISCOVERY SERIES – (SUN LAND FIRE STATION)

THE CRUISER/FISHNET AND MARITIME SERIES – (UC RIVERSIDE, CA)

This project used 2” X 5” X 1/4” aluminum tubes 6035-T5 with C6” X 2” X 1/4” thick aluminum channels 6063 T5 and 1/8” custom brake louvers 1050-HI4 or 5052-H32 Kynar finish. SWORDFISH CONTOURED SERIES – (NORTH ISLAND FINANCIAL CREDIT, CA)

This project used C12” X 4” X 3/16” thick aluminum channel 6035-T5, 2” X 8” x 1/4” aluminum tubes 6035-T5 and 16 Gauge perforated sheet metal 1050-HI4 or 5052-H32  Powder Coat Finish. ATLANTIC SERIES – (UC IRVINE, CA)

This project used 1/2” stainless steel outriggers 304, 16 ga. stainless steel perforated sheets 304 covers, 16 Gauge Stainless steel bent fascia 304 and 2”sq. x 1/4” thick stainless steel tubes 304. FISH NET SERIES

BATTLESHIP AND ADMIRALTY SERIES (US NAVEL AIR BASE)

This project used L- 2” X 2” X 1/4” steel channels ASTM A-36 and 16 ga. perforated sheet metal ASTM A-36. Finished Galvanized and Epoxy Paint. See the comprehensive variety of wall anchoring principles available in Section VI.

EXPEDITIONARY AND SWORDFISH SERIES

This project used 2”dia. steel tubes ASTM A-500B and 16 ga. perforated sheet metal ASTM A-36.  Epoxy Paint Finish. See the comprehensive variety of wall anchoring principles available in Section VI.

PERFORATED CASCADE SERIES

DREADNOUGHT SERIES

This project used C10 X 15.3 Steel Channels ASTM A-36,   L 2” X 2” X 1/4” Steel Angles ASTM A-36 and covers are 16 Gauge Perforated Sheet Metal ASTM A-36 with Stainless Steel Overhang System. Powder Coat Finished. See the comprehensive variety of wall anchoring principles available in Section VI.

IRONSIDE SERIES

This project used C12 X 10.5 Steel Channels ASTM A-36, 2” Square 16 Gauge Steel Tubes ASTM A-500B, covered with Perforated Sheet Metal and  Raised Seam or Plain Sheet Metal ASTM A-36. Powder Coat Finished. See the comprehensive variety of wall anchoring principles available in Section VI.

DYNAMIC AIRFLOW SERIES

NAUTILUS SERIES

MARITIME SERIES

BRUSSELS SERIES

NAVIGATOR AIRFOIL SERIES (RADIUSED FASCIA) PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY – NORTHRIDGE

The Aluminum 1.5” x 6” framed project illustrated here uses a radius on the  fascia, within which we see  the   6” extruded aluminum 6063-T5 airfoil blades, which  add  new dimensions. The units are supported on outriggers the same material as the radius and all attached to   “stub out extensions”, built into the building main frame by the contractor. The units can be Anodized, Powder or Kynar Coated.

CRUISER SERIES (RADIUSED FASCIA) – GLENDALE COLLEGE

This illustrates a 6063-T5 aluminum 2” x 3” and 2” x 6” tube framed project with a radius on the  fascia, over  which we see   3/16”-5052-H32 sheet – cladding on a 5 5/8” x 1-1/2” x 3/16” C-channel. These light weight units are not supported on overhead systems but directly mounted to stub outs built into the vertical structural frames forming part of the building main frame. All the units are finished in Kynar 500 colored Silver Metallic Bright.


 

Architectural Metal Awnings

One of the main features of Architectural Metal Awnings is their longevity. In addition, Architectural Metal Awnings can be fabricated in a greater range of Architectural Metal Awnings shapes than Fabric Awnings. The variety of finishes that can be applied to Architectural Metal Awnings is unlimited. Modern technology enables both Wood and  Fabric effects to now be applied to Architectural Metal Awnings.

The very nature and fabrication of Architectural  Metal Awnings permits them to withstand weather conditions far exceeding those of Fabric Awnings. For examples, Architectural Metal Awnings do not require the constant refurbishing as do Fabric Awnings, Architectural Metal Awnings can handle high wind and snow loads with long life finishes. Architectural Metal Awnings Shade Devices can channel wind through Architectural Metal Awning Louvers to cool premises. Also Architectural Metal Awning Louvers can reflect certain angles of light into an office and deflect others. Architectural Metal Awnings can have a Kynar Finish applied which is warranted for as much as 20 years. Although Architectural Metal Awnings may cost substantially more than Fabric Awnings considering that Architectural Metal Awnings usually last the life of the building, Architectural Metal Awnings are fast becoming first choice option.
